Youth Cinema Labs are movie-making workshops that can be tailored to accommodate groups sizes from 1-on-1 to 20+ participants.

Labs include:

  • Basic concepts of photochemistry and cinematography 

  • Create movies based on games

  • Hand-processing film with eco-safe ingredients in a red light darkroom

Students see their finished work the same day, and receive a digital download of their movie afterwards. Previous hosting institutions include Mingei International Museum and La Jolla Athenaeum School of the Arts.
